Furniture Renovation FAQ

Is furniture renovation a cost-effective option?
Renovation can be incredibly cost-effective! If your chairs or seating are still structurally sound, renovation could save you up to 50% against buying new. As well as the obvious cost saving of not having to buy a brand new product, you won’t have to pay disposal costs for an old chair. We’re happy to provide advice on all different options and work with you to find the right solution.

Do you offer free advice and estimates?
Absolutely – we’re happy to advise via email or to arrange a site visit. All of our advice is 100% free, as are our estimates.

Which types of furniture do you re-upholster?
All types! As well as chairs and seating, we’ve renovated theatre seats, council seating and even boat interiors! Have a look at our sister site, HSI Office Furniture, to find out more.

What material do you use?
The majority of hospital seating and couches will be finished in a vinyl. All our vinyls are easy to clean, 100% waterproof and comply with all infection control requirements. However, we can re-upholster using a range of fabrics – just ask us.

How long will it take?
Our turnaround time is generally 7-10 working days, but we can complete your order within almost any timeframe if needed. Just let us know your requirements and we’ll agree a timeframe with you before we start.

Do you offer a guarantee?
All of our reupholstery has a twelve month warranty. Every item will be labelled as fit for purpose once completed.

Do you renovate leather furniture?
Yes we do, and we can supply you with a full range of samples if needed.

Can I get an estimate via email?
Yes – just send us an email with some images of the items that need to be repaired, and we should be able to give you a reasonable estimate.

Do you complete health and safety checks on furniture?
We can check and service all types of furniture, including chairs and seating.
